
Tommy Fredvang is probably most know for his participation in The X-Factor, but his musical journey started already at young age. Fredvang grew up in Stavanger and spent most of his youth rehersing or at one of Stavangers many venues. He got his first guitar at the age of 17, started the punk band ”Splitting Image” and has been writing songs ever since.
When he was admitted to the McCartney School in Liverpool as one of 25 out of 2000 applicants, he decided to devote his life to his passion. Already at his first year at LIPA he got noticed for his songwriting skills and chosen by Robin Gibb from The Bee Gee`s to be a part of an exclusive release on LIPA`s own record company.
In 2009 Tommy brought his guitar and got in line with 8200 other hopeful X-Factor participants. He was quickly seen as one of the favorites and finished at an impressive 5th place. His unique voice, songwriting skills and ability to create good contact with his audience has made him a very popular live artist in Norway. In 2010 he was asked to join the Norwegian version of Dancing with the Stars. Tommy accepted the challenge and finished 5th.
His debut album “From Now On” was released October 2010. His first single “Wake Up Call” got a lot of attention in The Netherlands, San Francisco and Canada on reached 3rd place on the popular iDanceradio. BPM TV in Canada also listed the music video.
Tommy is currently working on his next album and is now releasing his new single “Come On” featuring Remus. His next album is expected to hit the market spring 2012.
